Shape

The choice is 2 + 5, Blend, shown first. Below are the six shape languages it came from, on the same components: nav, card with media, buttons, chips, input, icon tiles, code block and a floating sheet. Squircle and the cut corners use newer CSS (corner-shape), with a plain-radius or clip-path fallback where needed.

2 + 5 · Blend Chosen

Squircle (continuous-curvature) containers, with true pill controls and round icons. Pills and circles keep plain arcs, so they look the same in every browser.

1 · Soft

What we have now: rounded cards and pill buttons. Friendly, but common.

2 · Squircle

Continuous-curvature corners, like iOS icons. Its containers became half of the Blend above.

3 · Sharp

Square corners everywhere, structured by hairlines and space. The most Swiss and calm; reads like documentation.

4 · Facet

All four corners bevelled, like cut glass or a gem. The closest match to the name, and the most recognizable.

5 · Mixed

Near-square containers, pill controls, round icons. Its pills and circles became the other half of the Blend above.

6 · Single cut

Square, with one corner cut (top right). Quieter than cutting every corner; reads like a signature.
